Station seven: Jesus carries the cross

Bible reading

So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha).

Jesus carried his cross to the place of crucifixion. There would have been a large crowd lining the route and calling out to him. His disciples and followers went ahead of him or followed along, as we find them later on in the story at the foot of the cross.

​Christians believe that when you have to do something that is really hard, Jesus is with you.
